Healing Trauma through Connection

Theresa believes healing begins within the safety of a therapeutic relationship. She provides counseling for children, adolescents, and adults through a compassionate, collaborative approach where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or questions of identity and purpose, Theresa seeks to create a warm space where lasting healing, resilience, and hope can grow.

Empowering You to Recognize Your Worth

She approaches therapy with the conviction that every person possesses inherent dignity, unique strengths, and the capacity for growth. Together, she and her clients explore the experiences and patterns contributing to suffering while developing practical skills, emotional resilience, and greater freedom to live in alignment with their values and goals.

Meeting You Where You Are

It matters deeply to Theresa that she can help clients reconnect with their values, strengthen their relationships, and grow into the person they are called to be. Meet with Theresa to learn more about how she can support you on your journey toward healing and growth.

How Theresa Approaches Therapy

Theresa considers it a privilege to accompany individuals through seasons of suffering, uncertainty, and transformation. She believes that each person’s story deserves to be met with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Rather than viewing suffering as something that defines or diminishes a person, Theresa approaches therapy with the conviction that pain often reflects the depth of what someone has experienced, not a weakness within them. She seeks to understand the whole person, honoring each client’s inherent dignity, resilience, and capacity for healing.

Theresa’s passion for this work has been shaped by her clinical experiences in community mental health, Catholic college counseling, and serving Catholic individuals throughout Northern Virginia. She has supported children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, family conflict, academic stress, vocational discernment, and faith-related concerns. Across these experiences, Theresa has witnessed the courage it takes to seek support and the healing that can begin when individuals feel truly seen, understood, and accompanied.

It's okay—and normal—to feel unsure about therapy

We understand that pursuing counseling is a leap of faith. Your mental and emotional struggles may be brand new, or maybe they've been around as long as you can remember. Either way, it can be hard to believe in what Catholic counseling can offer and put yourself out there.

No matter your past, your future is full of hope for something better. At Ora et Labora Catholic Counseling, we are committed to you wherever you are starting. We believe that you can begin again anytime, and we're here to help you believe that, too.
